Pipe Layer

$22–30 / hour

Install and repair water and sewer utilities across the Roaring Fork Valley. You'll work alongside our operators setting grade, laying mainline and service lines, and backfilling to spec on residential and commercial sites.

What you'll do

  • Install water, sewer, and storm drain mainline and service lines
  • Set and check grade using pipe laser, rotary laser, or GPS
  • Work safely in open trench with trench boxes and shoring
  • Bed, backfill, and compact to project specification
  • Assist the operator with spotting, layout, and site cleanup

What we're looking for

  • Prior utility or excavation experience — not an entry-level role
  • Comfortable in and around open trench, familiar with trench safety
  • Working knowledge of PVC, HDPE, and ductile iron
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsites
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • OSHA 10 or 30 a plus — we'll help you get certified

Heavy Equipment Operator

$25–35 / hour

Run equipment on excavation, demolition, and utility projects throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. If you can dig a clean foundation and hold final grade, we want to talk.

What you'll do

  • Operate excavator, dozer, skid steer, loader, and backhoe
  • Dig foundations, trench for utilities, and hold final grade
  • Perform demolition on residential and commercial structures
  • Run daily equipment inspections and keep machines maintained
  • Work closely with pipe crews — spotting and clear communication

What we're looking for

  • Proven operating experience — productive on the machine day one
  • Ability to read grade and work to plan
  • GPS/grade control (Trimble or Topcon) strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license; CDL a significant plus
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Strong safety mindset around ground crews
